Over 2,000 exhibiting companies, 13 thematic halls and a rich program of initiatives to support businesses in digital transformation and skills development.
MECSPE 2026 returns tomorrow. From March 4 to 6, BolognaFiere will host the 24th edition of the leading trade fair for the manufacturing industry, organized by Senaf. With more than 2,000 Italian and international exhibitors, 13 thematic halls and a comprehensive schedule of conferences, workshops and special initiatives, MECSPE confirms its role as a strategic meeting point for production technologies, industrial supply chains and skills development. In an industrial landscape shaped by digitalization, automation and the redefinition of organizational models, the exhibition will provide companies with concrete tools to address competitiveness challenges, placing technological innovation and human capital at the center.
To offer an updated snapshot of the health of Italian manufacturing, MECSPE 2026 will open with the presentation of new data from the MECSPE Observatory during the inaugural event, in the presence of institutional representatives and industry stakeholders. A moment of analysis and discussion that confirms the exhibition as a privileged platform for interpreting industry trends.
MECSPE also strengthens its role as a hub for education and dialogue among companies, schools, ITS institutes, universities, research centers and trade associations. The exhibition represents an ecosystem in which interaction between the production world and the education system becomes a concrete driver of growth, promoting career guidance, experimentation and youth employment, as well as continuous skills upgrading in a high-tech environment. The following training-focused initiatives will be developed:
Alongside its focus on skills, MECSPE 2026 will offer a broad overview of enabling technologies reshaping production processes: additive manufacturing, automation, robotics, electronics and digital integration will take center stage through demonstration areas and thematic in-depth spaces.
Key areas include:
Special attention will also be paid to sustainability, safety and the evolution of production supply chains—elements that are increasingly central to the competitiveness of Italian manufacturing in national and international markets.
The international dimension will be another distinctive feature of the 2026 edition: 14 official foreign delegations are expected, with buyers from strategic markets for Made in Italy, including Spain, along with other European and non-European countries. The incoming program and B2B meetings will foster direct dialogue between Italian companies and international operators, strengthening MECSPE’s role as a European hub for industrial innovation.
“MECSPE represents a key moment for the manufacturing sector, in a context where technological innovation and skills development must progress together,” says Maruska Sabato, Project Manager of MECSPE. “The trade fair is the place where companies, schools, universities and associations build concrete synergies to support the evolution of production models.” From March 4 to 6, 2026, BolognaFiere will once again be the benchmark for those who want to play a leading role in the evolution of manufacturing, with a focus on innovation, education and international openness.
