In the mouldmaking and plastics processing industry, what are the main trends emerging today, and
which ones will have a significant impact in the coming years?
"The mouldmaking and processing industry, across different technologies, is being driven by a growing demand for efficiency, digitalization and sustainability. Customers are looking for high-quality standard components, immediate availability and increasingly integrated processes capable of reducing design and production times. At the same time, innovation in materials, automation, and the use of digital tools for configuring and managing orders are transforming the way companies operate. In this context, reliability, precision and personal technical support are becoming increasingly strategic factors. Together with our extensive stock availability across Europe and our online Portal, these strengths position the Meusburger Georg brand as a complete partner and trusted reference for the industry".
How confident are you about the market outlook for 2026–2027?
"We look ahead to 2026–2027 with cautious optimism. Although the economic environment is characterized by global and geopolitical uncertainties and strong competition, we continue to see demand focused on high-value-added solutions. Companies will increasingly need to invest in quality, innovation and the optimization of production processes if they want to remain competitive in the market. We believe that the ability to offer reliable products, efficient services and technical expertise will be a key differentiating factor in successfully addressing market challenges. For precisely this reason, Meusburger Georg has also made considerable investments over the past 24 months and will continue to do so in the near future".
Why Meusburger Georg choose to participate in MECSPE 2026?
"MECSPE represents the annual benchmark event for the Italian manufacturing market and an important opportunity to engage directly with the industry. We have been exhibitors for many years and have built a close relationship with Senaf. Participating in the show allowed us to present our latest technological solutions, as well as strengthen relationships with existing customers and develop new connections with companies interested in improving the efficiency of their production processes. The trade show is also an ideal environment for gathering feedback and market requirements, sharing expertise and highlighting the innovation that distinguishes our offering".
What were the main priorities among the objectives of your presence at the fair?
"Our priorities were to strengthen the brand’s presence in the Italian market, meet customers and key partners, and develop new qualified contacts. At the same time, we wanted to present our latest product innovations, particularly the technological solutions related to hot runner systems, a segment experiencing strong growth for Meusburger Georg, as well as the digital services offered through our new Portal, which supports the design and procurement of standard and special components. This tool is now considered of primary importance by our more than 22,000 active customers worldwide". As always, the goal was to create a direct dialogue with industry professionals, understand their needs and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
Considering the contacts generated and the opportunities developed, how do you assess the return on
investment from participating in MECSPE 2026?
"The overall assessment of our participation is positive. We experienced strong visitor traffic throughout the entire trade show, with particularly busy periods during the central hours of each day. MECSPE once again proved to be an effective platform for strengthening relationships with existing customers and initiating new business opportunities. The quality of the visitors and leads generated led to concrete discussions about projects and potential collaborations. Beyond the commercial results, the trade show also helped increase brand visibility and reinforce our position as a reliable partner for the moldmaking industry".
