MECSPE Observatory for the second quarter of 2024 shows that 47% of companies believe that the new measures are crucial for sustainable growth in the manufacturing sector;

54% of companies will invest in technologies to reduce energy consumption, while 37% of them focus on workforce training for the digital transition;

MECSPE returns to Bologna from March 5 to 7, 2025, to lead the industry towards an increasingly green future.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Nearly half of entrepreneurs have expressed a positive opinion on the measures contained in the Transition Plan 5.0<\/strong> and almost one-third of Italian manufacturing companies are ready to take advantage of the new 5.0 incentives by the end of the year to drive the ecological transition. This is the scenario outlined by the MECSPE Observatory on the Italian manufacturing industry<\/strong> for the second quarter of 2024, shortly after the final approval of the Transition Plan 5.0 by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT). The plan includes a total investment of 6.3 billion euros for companies that choose to invest in innovative projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and digitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a time when the manufacturing sector is facing several cyclical challenges, many entrepreneurs view these measures positively, considering them a potential turning point for corporate sustainability (16%) or believing they will have a positive impact on the sector (31%), although further investment would be necessary. In this context, MECSPE<\/strong>, the leading trade fair for the manufacturing sector organized by Senaf, is set to return to BolognaFiere from March 5 to 7, 2025<\/strong>, with a program that dedicates space to sustainability, with a particular focus on the ongoing ecological transition, while also addressing themes such as innovation and training<\/strong>, which are central to achieving a sustainable shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Observatory highlights that more than half (54%) of companies plan to invest in tangible and intangible assets to reduce energy consumption<\/strong>, one-third of them will invest in plants for self-production of energy from renewable sources and energy storage, while 37% will definitely invest in staff training to acquire skills in technologies relevant to the implementation of the digital and energy transition. Sustainability, therefore, remains central for Italian companies; only one-third feel truly sustainable, while 44% consider themselves moderately sustainable, indicating that there is still work to be done to reduce the environmental impact of the Italian manufacturing sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
